1 MONTH UNTIL COMIC-CON!!!!
I know, there's still time and all... but omg, you guys I'm already sooooo freakin' anxious!!!! Specially now that the panels are being confirmed...

I mean, seriously... Fringe, Castle, Community, Big Bang Theory, Game Of Thrones, Psych, Torchwood, The Adventures Of Tintin, SpiderMan...
I'LL BE IN THE SAME FREAKIN' ROOM WITH ALL THE AMAZING PEOPLE FROM ALL THESE SHOWS AND MOVIES!!!!! How can I possibly be calm about this??!!!

And I don't really have a lot of interest in going to the GLEE panel, but holy shit! If Chris Colfer and Darren Criss are there, I don't think I'll be able to keep it together... I HAVE to meet these 2! Just have to...

And Zachary Levi... and Nathan Fillion... and Jim Parsons... and Joel McHale... and Joshua Jackson... and John Barrowman...

GAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!


... Seriously, all I need right now is for the Supernatural, Doctor Who and The Hunger Games panels to confirm. And if they do... freak out mode will be officially ON!

Wow, has it really been almost 3 months since I've last updated??? Damn...

I could use the old "oh, my life has been so hectic that I hadn't the time" excuse I usually use, but that's not the case here, so... it's kinda the opposite really... my life has been so boring and so uneventful that it's seriously making me wanna pull my hair out...

But I can't really say that nothing happened over this last 3 months. I mean, there were a few pretty important bits here and there...

( So how has life been treating good ol' me?! )

Well, I guess that pretty much covers it.
Anyways, I'm still pretty active on Twitter and Tumblr, so if you wanna keep up with me there... but I'll try to update here more often, I promise! =D

OH, FEBRUARY 2011... WHY ARE YOU SLOWLY TURNING INTO THE BEST MONTH EVER???

I'll tell you why...

#1. It's official... di_br AND I ARE GOING TO COMIC-CON!!!!!!!
We've got the place, the plan and now, we have the tickets! Brace yourselves, San Diego... we're coming for you! =D

#2. And not just San Diego...  we're spending 13 full days in the US this time! After Comic-Con, we're going to Hollywoooooood!!! Kidding... but we are going to LA and we've got a whole lot to see! =)
We're also planning a little collab project... think "video travel diary", but jam packed with geekyness and fangirling! We'll document pretty much the entire trip, then we'll edit it all out and turn it into an awesome series of video logs! It's gonna be sooooo much fun, I cannot wait! =)

#3. I've been officially HIRED!!! I'm no longer an intern... I'M A FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE now! Yay me! *parties*

#4. Speaking of my super-duper job, I got a little surprise today... my boss asked me if I wanted to go to the special press screening of I Am Number Four TOMORROW!!!! I didn't get to be a part of the campaign, but since I mentioned I wanted to see it, he's letting me! Haha... score!!!

#5. I lost 4 more pounds! Which brings me to a total of 18 POUNDS LOST in 7 months! I mean... look at THAT! I've got curves now! Proper girl curves!!! Haha!

... So basically... yeah... February rules! And we're only getting started! ^_^

So my HOME ALONE week is coming to an end...
My brother is at the US for work and my parents are out on vacation - so yeah, good ol' me have been practicing the ups and downs of living by myself since last Monday.

But you know what... I thought this whole thing would be better =(

Don't get me wrong, it's actually a pretty liberating feeling knowing you can just do your thing, not having anyone checking up on you, worrying if you come home late or whatever...
I can do whatever I want pretty much! I can blast loud music through the house, sleep with the bedroom door opened, not do the dishes if I don't feel like it, get take out food and not worrying there's gonna be someone home to judge me if I do... those little things are pretty great!

But on a sad note, this kind of thing really opens up your mind and makes you realize how incredible pathetic your life actually is...
Look at me! I´m sitting on my living room couch, in my pajamas, at 1pm on a Saturday trying to figure out what the hell I'm going to do this weekend! And the saddest part is I DON'T HAVE A CLUE!

I haven't really heard of most of my college friends in weeks... since it is January, they're probably out travelling and stuff... cuz I'm one of the few that has actually kept her job after graduating, so everybody else can actually go on vacation and do nothing...

And to make matters worst... I'm turning 24 next week! (in 5 days actually)

So 24, single, alone for the weekend, got the car, got the time... and I'm sitting with my large big fat ass on the couch... I'm pathetic! =(

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!!!!!!!

Ugh, I can't believe it's 2011... 2010 went by so freakin' fast, didn't it?! How weird... but anyways, I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Eve! =)

( A summary of my personal holiday fiasco... putting under a cut, so you won't get bored with the drama )


Well, since I got this last week off from work (and the week before was really really slow there), I used it to catch up on a bunch of stuff...

MOVIES
I couldn't really wait until they premiered here, so I downloaded and watched a few movies:

. The Social Network - I've seen twice now and reeeeaaally liked it!
. Never Let Me Go - I loved Andrew Garfield in TSN so much, I had to see this one... turned out to be one of the saddest, most depressing films I've seen in a very long time! I cried so much at the end... but is still a beautiful story!
. Black Swan - very creepy, very intense and not really the most comfortable movie to watch... but also very good! It'll get you talking in the end!
. Tangled - loved, loved, LOVED IT!!! It is so witty and so funny and it's just too precious for words! Everybody should see it!

. I also got to see TRON Legacy twice now (at the theater, not home) and I personally thought it was really cool! Yeah, the story is a bit too "Disney" and sugarcoated, blah blah... but the visuals are totally worth it! It's really a visually stunning movie - and not to mention, the soundtrack kicks *major* ass!!!


TV
. I watched the first season of The Walking Dead... and sorry fans, but I'm not really feeling it! It's a good show and all... the zombies are well made, the plot it consistent... but I dunno, I guess the characters are just too blah for my taste! The only one I liked in there is Glenn... I don't really care about the rest...
So, I don't know if I'll keep watching in the future or not - let's wait and see!

. I also watched both season's of Misfits and I gotta say, I'm pleasantly surprised! Now that is a character show... I really really liked it!
Nathan is just hysterical! There are times I love him, others I wanna punch him in the face... but he's awesome no matter what!
I also looooooove Simon! He's so awkward and weird, but he's also the sweetest! He and Nathan are so funny together, I love that!
(But I still can't believe season 3 only premieres in November! An entire year of waiting??? Not cool, people!)

. And last, but certaintly not least... I've officially become a Fringie! Me and my mom pretty much devoured season 1 of Fringe in about a week and a half and we are HOOKED! Cannot wait for what's coming in season 2!
The characters rock... Olivia is a just a BAMF, Peter kicks major ass, Walter is so sweet and so funny... heck, even Broyles is awesome! LOVE IT! =D


OTHERS

. Since I'm now graduated, I can finally go back to working on my graphics... and I decided to make a new fake-poster for "The Hunger Games"... I've posted a little sneak peek a few days ago... what do you guys think?! =)

. I also really want to go back to vidding... I really do, I miss it a lot... I've got a bunch of ideas screaming in my head and I wanna get them out! Not to mention, there's a couple of old projects here that I really wanna finish...
But I wanna do it right this time - like really experiment more and do something different, with great music and colorings and effects! Both full vids and vidlets... so fingers crossed, people! =D

SO GUESS WHO'S NOW OFFICIALLY A GRADUATED GRAPHIC DESIGNER???!!!

That's right... ME!!!


... My final grade came out today - got an 8.5 out 10 on my cook book! I kinda screwed up a bit on my presentation (talked too much, didn't actually sell the idea that well), but I did what I could with what I had...

Unfortunately my grade was not enough to make it to the Senior Project Exhibit Gallery... but at least it was enough to get my hands on a diploma... so yes, I'm happy with it!

Since we're talking about this... di_br once again saved my ass and helped me out with my presentation by putting together a great promo video for my book. The panelists didn't say anything about it, but my friends and family loved it to bits - and so did I!

So yes, thank you hon! I'll be forever grateful for this! *bear hugs* =D

... So yeah... final college project is officially DONE!!!
Ugh, I hate to brag about it, but I'm so proud of my little cook book... looks nice, doesn't it?! I love my cover art! It's so... happy looking! It's so great!

I don't really have photos of the inside yet, cuz I'm still working on the project manuscript (which is due this Wednesday - aarrhhhgg! I'm literally running against the clock here)... but I'll post a few in the future, I promise...

But anyways, my last thesis presentation was finally set this week... DECEMBER 7th!
So cross your fingers for me, you guys! =D
