Today is officially the worst day I've had in the longest time...

Woke up and found myself having contracted my dad's stomach virus... meaning, food doesn't seem to wanna go in and I'm hurting all over. So basically, I've been feeling like crap during the whole day! And I missed swimming practice for it! *headdesks*

The cleaning lady didn't come again, which means the house is a mess and I have to do chores because of it...

I'm bored out of my misery! But my energy level is pretty much going negative, so as much as I wanna do something, it's so not gonna happen...


And just when I manage to get something good out of today... fiding out PLACEBO's new album is out... I go online and find out PANIC AT THE DISCO BROKE UP?!!!


I'm officially depressed right now =(

About a month ago, di_br convinced me to read The Lightening Thief, book 1 of the "Percy Jackson & The Olympians" series.

... It's July, winter time for us, I've got pretty much nothing to do for an whole month... and since 'Twilight', I've picked up a habit of reading a lot during vacations...

And I gotta say... I LOOOOOOVED this book more than I thought I would! Seriously!
Yeah, it's kinda predictable and a bit too "juvenile" for my age, but I dunno... something in that thing just hooked me for good!

Maybe it's me rediscovering my love for Greek mythology, maybe I'm just craving for anything remotely related to Harry Potter to ease my anxiety til' HBP opens... I dunno!

All I know is I loved this thing, I've already started book 2 (Sea Of Monsters) and I'll probably won't be able to control myself and will end up buying the other 3 books in english so I can just read the whole thing and be done with it!


... Between going back to swimming (which I am! Started yesterday!) and all my trips to the dentist this month (don't ask, it's not pretty!)... I guess I'll need something to get my mind into, right?! =p

I was trully saddened to hear the news about Adam Cook's passing

I guess all David Cook fans were... I mean, all of us who've been supporting David since he was on Idol know how much of an influence Adam was in pretty much everything he's done - and still does.
For starters... not one, but two songs on David's album - "Permanent" and "A Daily Anthem" - are dedicated to his big brother.

I've never lost anyone to cancer, specially one as brutal as brain cancer, and god help me I won't ever have to...
But I do know what it is to lose someone to a long term illness and having to slowly witness your family break apart throughout the years, coping with the fact that there is nothing you can do to make things go back to what they were.


I've never done anything of this sort, but I think I'm gonna try and write him...

1. Wolverine opened a day earlier because of Labor Day (Friday holidays rock!)

2. FINALLY found Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves on DVD for sale!!!
Also found Daughtry's album for an insane cheap price! So, I had to get it =p

3. Star Wars cosplayers at the mall!
Yeah, you've read it right... I think was a promotion at the bookstore or something, but there were like 10 guys dressed up as Empire Troopers, Jedi Knights (with lightsabers!)and there was even a Bobba Fett! It was really cool... people were taking pictures and the kids were so mesmerized! They wanted to touch the armors and helmets... so great!

4. Got to see one of my cousins for like 5 minutes this morning (he came to get grandma and take her to my uncle's for lunch)... I hadn't seen him in months. I miss my cousins! =(

5. Last but not least... NEW 'TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN' TRAILER!!!
... do I really need to say anything?! SERIOUSLY!!!! *iz in awe*

1. Finally managed to take a long, nice nap this afternoon... I needed it badly! Only slept 3 hours last night...

2. Calcography (metal printing technique) project finally done... my fingers are grateful! =p

3. Had another massage session, which was pretty much the highlight of my day really... now I feel ready for bed! ^_^

1. Found an awsome video converter that allows me to rip dvds straight to avi! I'm in heaven!!!

2. I'm finding myself loving Robin Hood more and more! I'm watching it every week now, I love it! And Legend Of The Seeker was back too, which was about the effin' time! My Saturdays were getting a bit empty... =p

3. Went out with my friend Debora on Sunday... isn't nice when you get to just hang out, no strings attached?! God, I missed that... Anyway! We did have a reason for going out though...

It's official - I'M GONNA SEE THE KOOKS LIVE IN CONCERT!!!


Eeek! I'm excited! Now I've got about a month and a half to get both albums by heart... or at least get to know more then the 5 songs I already do =p

1. Getting all documentary dvds for Film class project ripped in just a few hours... still not enough material though!

2. di_br, who is seriously made of complete and utter *AWSOME!*, invited me to go to a special screening of STAR TREK tomorrow!!! *dies of excitement*

... yeah, suffice to say that made my day! ^_^

1. Finally got a haircut! My hair was starting to gain a life of its own... that's how bad it was!

2. SUPERNATURAL!!! Can't wait for next week... Castiel centered episode! Eeekk! =p

3. Finding out there's new Legend Of The Seeker this weekend! Yay!

4. Also finding out they've added balcony sections for The Kooks' concert! Paying only 5 extra bucks and enjoy the show with the privilege of not being cramped up on the floor?! Aaaaaawsome! =p

5. Coming to conclusions about my next Film class video project - making a National Geographic-style showcase on wild life. Sorta of a "let's save the planet because it's pretty!" thing... I want something simple this time! I NEED something simple!

1. Went to Interview #2 today and I guess it went better then the first one! It started off bad cuz I almost didn't make it (stupid internet map made me get lost), but after I got there, there were 2 other girls waiting already... and we ended up getting interviewed together!

Yeah, that kinda takes "know your competition" to a whole new level!

2. AWSOME *dance* group number on Idol!...

3. Katy Perry's latest video for 'Thinking Of You'. Great song, great period piece.
And... Matt Dallas in an 1940's military uniform?! PRICELESS!!! =p

4. Had my first lymph drainage session yesterday.
... Before everyone goes 'EEWW!', it's not as disgusting as it sounds! It's just a massage! A very nice one, with oils and creams... and I had a bit of accumpuncture too... let's just say I slept like a freakin' rock!

5. Having Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice back tonight! Yaaaayyyy!!!

6. Riding the train. Sounds silly, but if you lived here and took mainly buses and subway to get to places, truste me... taking the train is heaven! The river next to it does stink, so that's the downer of it all =(

I've had some big issues with Norton Antivirus these last few days and after hours of trying to save my poor baby, all my efforts went downhill! Big time!
Windows went M.I.A and I was left with the bittersweet agony of having to share my internet time with my parents over the holiday...

The computer guy came by on Monday and did manage to unstuck everything, but only to run into an infestation of Trojans! So, yesterday he had to come back and unfortunetely, took my baby with him =(

So here I am, posting through dad's elderly laptop... my fingers are so unhappy right now...

# Another holiday coming up on Tuesday, which means I'll be getting yet another 2 days off!
Anyway... since the parents and brother are going out of town, I've got the house to myself for almost the whole weekend! And I finally convinced my friends to come here for our much prolonged dvd-a-thon! =p It's gonna be fun!

# I'm going to see The Kooks in concert!!! They're playing here on June 19th and my wonderful, wonderful friend Debora said she'd LOVE to go with me! She's a really big fan of theirs... I only know a handful of songs, but I love the ones I do and I'd love to see them live! So, we're going! Yaaayy!!!

# Finally bought Supernatural Season 2 on dvd! *bounces*

# The full cast of New Moon has finally been announced... and I am ECSTATIC!!! I mean, seriously...

# I'm not gonna get any Easter eggs this year, which is a bit depressing, yeah, but mom did get a few bars and candy boxes from her patients. So there is gonna be chocolate...
But the bright side of mom hating the whole egg give out thing is that instead of chocolate, I sometimes get gifts. I went shoe shopping with her this week and I got 3 new pairs! So, to hell with chocolate! =p

# Went to see Fast & Furious for the second time yesterday... still AWSOME!!!!

# After 5 seasons, I'm finally getting my Movie Night on Idol next week!!! *crazy happy dance*
Not just that, they'll be mentored by Quentin Tarantino! I'm not that much of a fan, but still... it's freakin' Taratino, man! That is one dude that knows his music! =)
